CIDB As A Certification Body
ISO/IEC 17024:2012
Introduction
All activities related to the certification process have been aligned with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17024:2012 as part of CIDB Malaysia's effort to add value to the Construction Skills Competency Certificate (SKKP) certification and recognition on an international level (Conformity Assessment: General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons).
ISO/IEC 17024 (Conformity Assessment: General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons) is an international standard that specifies the general requirements for certification bodies to ensure that equality considerations are applied in all certification-related activities. This standard ensures that the process of evaluating and determining certification results is fair, authentic, and dependable.
CIDB focuses on three (3) major areas:
- a) Welding;
- b) Non-Destructive Testing – NDT; and
- c) Blasting and Painting
Starting March 1, 2022, the implementation of evaluation for SKKP certification on three (3) fields is carried out in accordance with the Certification Scheme based on ISO/IEC 17024:2012 requirements, namely:
- a) Certification Scheme ISO/IEC 17024:2012 For Welding;
- b) Certification Scheme ISO/IEC 17024:2012 For Non-Destructive Testing; dan
- c) Certification Scheme ISO/IEC 17024:2012 For Blasting And Painting

Penilaian Semula (Re-assessment)
Peserta-peserta adalah dibolehkan untuk menduduki penilaian pada bahagian yang gagal sahaja samada teori atau amali. Permohonan untuk Penilaian Semula (Re-Assessment) boleh dibuat dalam tempoh selepas 30 hari dan tidak lewat dari 2 tahun dari tarikh pengeluaran keputusan oleh CIDB.
