However, the trajectory is pointing upward, with projections estimating a substantial growth to US$120.4 billion by 2027. This impressive surge highlights the increasing adoption and recognition of the benefits offered by modular construction techniques.

Despite its relatively modest share in the broader construction market, the modular construction industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years. This surge can be attributed to the method’s ability to address critical challenges faced by traditional construction, such as time constraints, cost overruns, and sustainability concerns.

In addition to expediting construction timelines and reducing costs, modular construction aligns with sustainability goals by minimising construction waste and optimising material usage. The controlled environment in which modular components are manufactured ensures precision and quality, contributing to the durability and longevity of the structures.
