A half-day seminar on promoting QLASSIC – An independent method in assessing and evaluating the quality of workmanship of building projects based on the approved standard.

Definition of QLASSIC

  • An independent method to assess and evaluate the quality of workmanship of building projects based on the approved standard.
  • A system which enables the quality of workmanship to be objectively compared via a sampling and statistical approach.

Objectives of QLASSIC

  • To benchmark the level of quality in the construction industry.
  • To have a standard quality assessment system for quality of workmanship of construction work.
  • To assess quality of workmanship of a building project based on the approved standard.
  • To evaluate the performance of contractors based on quality of workmanship; and
  • To compile data for statistical analysis.

Objectives of the seminar

  • To swap experiences among contractors and developers on the quality of construction’s workmanship
  • To give a better understanding on the importance of QLASSIC and its role on contractors’ performance.
  • To deliver a clearer view on current construction issues on quality workmanship
